The 3rd and final day of the Illinois State Historical Society Symposium at the Embassy Suites in E. Peoria, with the theme "Contested Lands: 1763-1840", was filled with the reading of State House Resolutions, and also demonstrations by Native Americans.
The 3 days of Conferences featured over 33 well known Archaeologist, Historians, Anthropologist, Philanthropist, and researchers in their fields of expertise, banquets, a voyageur Canoe, Exhibit hall, portrayal of Illinois Territorial Governor Ninian Edwards by Brian "Fox" Ellis, and many other activities.
This was the 32nd Annual History Symposium by the Illinois State Historical Society, with the theme this year being "Contested Lands:1763-1840." This is in conjunction of the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812.
With this the 3rd day of the Illinois State Historical Society Symposium came to an end. See you next year.
